On Monday, Oct. 1 Alpha Sigma Tau and Sigma Alpha Epsilon joined together to raise money for Second Harvest Food Bank.

Second Harvest Food Bank’s mission is “utilizing food and education to improve lives and create a hunger-free community. Our agencies give hands and feet to our mission, enabling us to provide hunger relief throughout Coastal Georgia to more than 158,000 people in need. The agencies are church food pantries, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, and programs for low-income children or seniors.”

Justyn Ferguson, junior philanthropy chair of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, said, “I feel like a lot of people love kickball. We’ve all played it at least once. It’s for a good cause and it’s a way to bring people together and have fun.”

The kickball tournament will be held Oct. 12 at 11-4 p.m. on the softball field. You can sign up your own team by emailing Hannah Paulson at hp03196@georgiasouthern.edu.  The deadline to sign up is Friday, Oct. 11 at 10 p.m.

It is $5 to play with a meal included.
