Police found the missing former Georgia Southern football star in the woods Tuesday night, safe and unharmed.

Wesley Kennedy, former GS student and football star had been missing since Sunday. He was spotted by law enforcement Tuesday afternoon but ran into the woods from police when they approached him, according to WCJL.

Wesley was found Tuesday night located in an area of woods off Dean Forest Road between Savannah and Pooler around 9 p.m. and was brought to the hospital for medical attention. 

Wesley’s family along with local Garden City, GA law enforcement had been searching for Kennedy since he was reported missing Sunday, and he has since been returned to his family unharmed.
