STATESBORO—New week, new wardrobes. With Fall weather just around the corner, students are showcasing their summer staples.
Style Spotlight: Sofia Hands

“I cannot go out without wearing at least one ring or earrings. I just don’t feel like myself without jewelry,” said Sofia Hands, a freshman biology student.
Hands combines the baggy streetwear look with earth-toned jewelry sets.
“I buy a lot of my jewelry from secondhand stores, some of it online shops. Just anywhere that I find something I enjoy,”
Often gaining inspiration from sites like Pinterest, accessories are an essential part of Hands’ outfits.
Style Spotlight: Edmandd Belizaire

“When I started getting [to campus], I wanted to like, explore different types of styles. And I think, like, alternative style really captured my attention,” said Edmandd Belizaire, a freshman theater major.
Blending a mix of thrifted and gifted items, Belizare stays true to his style.
“When you’re building an outfit, you should really do what you feel most comfortable in. Because, at the end of the day, it’s your outfit,” said Belizaire.
Style Spotlight: Yasmine Williams

“Flea markets. Outdoor thrifting is the best type of thrifting,” said Yasmine Williams, a sophomore computer science major.
Williams creates an unique brand of streetwear, combining thrifted ties, classic converse and baggy jeans.
“I’m a really indecisive person, so I think I get a lot of inspiration from a bunch of different aesthetics. I really can’t choose one. I’d say it depends on the day,” said Williams.
