The Statesboro Police Department responded to a shooting that occurred at the Renaissance apartment complex Saturday morning. 

One man was shot at approximately 2:43 a.m. on Sept. 30 and taken to the hospital, said Madison Bridges, SPD community information specialist. The victim’s injuries were not life-threatening, however, the shooter was unidentified.

Bridges said witnesses at the scene were uncooperative with attempts by the SPD’s investigation. The victim also signed a termination of investigation form, which legally asks the SPD not to investigate on their behalf.

Bridges encourages anyone with information regarding this incident to contact the SPD and speak to the detective on the case.
