As we move through homecoming week, it’s also time to participate in our first-ever Student Choice Awards! This is something new at the George-Anne, and it’s a great opportunity to have your voice heard and vote on your favorites around campus.
What are the Student Choice Awards?
This is a new campaign launched by the George-Anne Media Group that allows students to vote on their favorites on and off campus.
What are the categories?
There are 15 categories to vote on, and they can all be seen below:
- Best Study Spot on Campus
- Best Campus Dining Option
- Favorite Student Organization
- Favorite Fraternity (Interfraternity Council)
- Favorite NPHC Organization (National Pan-Hellenic Council)
- Favorite Sorority (Panhellenic Association)
- Best Hidden Gem (Local Business)
- Best On-Campus Dorm
- Best Off-Campus Apartment
- Best Late-Night Spot
- Best Pizza Spot
- Best Coffee Shop
- Best Chicken Spot
- Best Local Restaurant
- Favorite Professor (each college is included)
How do I vote?
Voting is open until Dec. 1, and you can find the Google Form here, or linked in our newsletter! The link is also in the bio of our Instagram, @gamediagroup.
When will the winners be announced?
Starting in January, we will announce the winners week by week. The majority of the winners will be included in the February newspaper, but we are saving the big categories to be announced at our annual Reflector Magazine Launch Party in April (Details will be announced in the coming months).
What do the winners get?
All winners will receive a framed certificate along with a specialty “Student Choice Awards” sticker!
