GSU dominates KSU

Katie Tolbert

Senior pitcher Sarah Purvis pitched a perfect game on the road against Kennesaw

State University, leading the Georgia Southern University softball team to a 2-0

victory.

The Eagles took a quick lead, earning two runs in the second inning. After a series of

singles, A.J. Hamilton doubled to left center, running in Johnson and Robinson.

After GSU’s firs two runs, neither team was able to bring in a run. Purvis helped

tremendously by not allowing one hit o run from KSU.

A standout statistic that explains why KSU was just unable to perform against GSU

was the fact that the Eagles committed zero errors while KSU committed two. As

long as the Eagles are pitching perfect games and committing no errors, victories

will come time and time again.

The Eagles will continue their play this weekend at the Tennessee Tournament on

March 8 and March 9.
