Eagles outshoot Owls for second win of season

Tonight, Georgia Southern University’s men’s basketball team defeated Kennesaw State University 62-46.
Leading the Eagles to their second victory of the season was freshman guard Cleon Roberts with 12 points, two rebounds and two steals.
The Eagles outshot the Owls throughout the entire game. GSU shot 48 percent from the field and 42 percent from behind the arc, while KSU shot 38 percent from the field and 25 percent from behind the arc. Also performing for the Eagles was junior forward Eric Ferguson with 11 points, seven rebounds, one steal and one block.
GSU had a very slow start in the beginning of the first half, but toward the end of the first half, they regained their composure and brought the game to a one-point difference. During the second half, the Eagles fought back and gained a large lead to ultimately win the game. The Eagles play Maryland University on Saturday at 7 p.m.
