Candidates for student government elections announced and debate scheduled

A full list of the students running for office for Georgia Southern University’s Student Government Association for the 2019-2020 academic year was sent to all GS students on Monday.
The three students running for the office of president of the Student Government Association this year are:
- Senator-at-large Keyshawn Housey
- College of Engineering and Computing Senator Zean Lopez
- Executive Assistant Juwan Smith.
The complete list of candidates across all three GS campuses can be viewed here, along with a short statement from each candidate. The list is also available on the official SGA website.
A debate between the three candidates for SGA president is scheduled to take place on April 5 however, the location and time has not been announced. The George-Anne will provide further information when it becomes available.
Elections will be held from April 8 at 12 a.m. to April 10 at 11:59 p.m.
