Arbor Day Tree Planting Celebration

The ceremony began with a tree being planted in Sweetheart Circle.

Students and participants were then taken further into campus to plant more trees together.

Georgia Southern Horticulturist, Alicia Lanier, then explained how to plant saplings along the paths on campus.

Participants worked together in the planting process.

Participants could plant as many trees as they wanted until supplies ran out, and the trees were evenly dispersed along the pathways.

Lanier’s coworkers assisted anyone who needed help with planting their saplings.

The workers and participants were excited to add so many trees to the campus.

GSU staff ensured the project ran smoothly.
