Statesboro Police responded to Cambridge at Southern the Palms for a reportedly shot male yesterday afternoon. 

What happened: “Preliminary investigation revealed that the shooting occurred on the property of the adjacent Stadium Walk Apartments (140 Lanier Drive) after which the victim fled to Cambridge where he had relatives and associates,” stated in the media release. 

• The victim was transported by EMS to East Georgia Regional. He was then airlifted to Memorial in Savannah where he remains under treatment.
• “As detectives processed the scene they identified witnesses and physical evidence, but continued to seek anyone who observed the shooting,” said in the media release.
