The Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair is an annual event in Statesboro where people from all over can enjoy local entertainment, fun rides, and a petting zoo with local animals.

Another enjoyable part of the fair is the iconic fair food. During my time at the fair, I tried some food that caught my attention. Here are some of my standouts ranked on a scale from 1-5.

Deep-Fried Oreos: 5/5

Whenever I go to the fair, I always get deep-fried Oreos. It’s classic fair food, simple and delicious. A deep-fried Oreo is even better with powdered sugar. 

Homemade Fries in a Bucket: 4/5

Have you ever wanted fries in a big bucket? At the fair, you can get homemade fries that are made right in front of you with real potatoes. You can also get them with chili cheese. 

Pizza With Pickles and Hot Cheetos: 5/5

If you read the name, you would probably be disgusted by the idea of having pickles on pizza. I’m not a big pickle kind of guy, but I tried it anyway. It was so delicious! You can find this food near the rides at the Rick’s Pizza vendor.
