Life hacks: Thanksgiving edition

Caitlyn Oliver

So we all stress Thanksgiving and Black Friday right? There’s an easier way to do things.

1. Run potatoes through the rinse cycle of the dish washer. If you can use it to clean hats and shoes, why not for food? Just remember to not put the dish soap in.

2. Tape the recipe to the inside of a cabinet. It takes up less space in a cookbook on the counter and will be at an easier level to read.

3. Check sales beforehand. Some places actually have cheaper markdowns before or after Black Friday so that’s when you get a better deal. Pay attention.

4. Cyber Monday. If you don’t want to deal with the crowd, online shopping is always an option on Monday. It might even be easier than driving through traffic.
