Parking Information for the Home Coming Parade

Caitlyn Oliver

The Homecoming Parade is this afternoon and there are a few things you should know to avoid frustration.

Parking on Sweetheart Circle will be closed at 12 p.m and no traffic will be allowed by 2 p.m. Vehicles parked along Sweetheart Circle after 2:00 p.m. will be towed without notifying the owner so be sure to check the time before you park your car.

The two-way traffic area by Sanford Hall will remain open until the parade starts.

Departments with university vehicles parked on Sweetheart Circle must vacate the area before 12:00 p.m.

Parking permit enforcement will end at 2:00 p.m. to allow those attending the parade to park in numbered commuter and open faculty/staff areas. Safety violations are still being enforced so don’t try anything crazy (fire lane, handicap, blocking/impeding, etc).

Spectator parking available on-campus after 2 p.m.

The parade will start at 4 p.m. at Lot 42 by the Wildlife Center, go down Forest Drive to Sweetheart Circle and end after making the loop around Sweetheart.

Traffic along the route will be either rerouted or stopped completely during the parade.
