The Georgia Southern University Museum helped host the annual Georgia Association of Museums and Galleries, or GAMG, conference this Friday, January 23 in the The Nessmith Lane Conference Center.

Each year this conference is held to act as an awards ceremony and to commemorate volunteers, sponsors, and those who have graciously put forth their time to educate the community through organized museums within the state of Georgia.

Award recipients and their families gathered as 10 exhibition categories were eligible for recognition. The Georgia Southern Museum was nominated for Planters Telephone Cooperative Foundation as the 2015 Patron of the Year for their generosity, leadership and steadfast support of the Museum.
