WVGS is hosting a raffle in the Russell Union from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. this week until Friday.

The purpose is to raise money so they are able to do more events on campus.

Events like having a ‘battle of the bands’ in the fall as well as a ‘rap cypher’ later on this semester.

The raffles are $1 each. You can either stop by the radio station which is located in Sanford Hall in room 1025 or the Union to get a raffle ticket.

Monday, March 9th is when the lucky winner will be picked to receive $75 worth of merchandise from Barefoot, a local store that sells Georgia Southern apparel. The prize includes: 2 t-shirts, 2 koozies, a $25 gift card to Barefoot, and a Georgia Southern tumbler.

Make sure to tune in all day everyday to 91.9 FM The Buzz. They have shows that play every music genre that you can listen to while either doing homework or driving home.
“We just want to pump up the station to get more listeners!” Megan Vaughn, a junior public relations major, said.

If you want to get involved, be sure to apply next year on MyInvolvement.
