How to get into this week’s basketball game for free

Briyanna Thompson, Correspondent

November marks the beginning of Georgia Southern’s basketball season, and just like football games students can get into home basketball games free of charge.

The women’s team starts off the season this thursday, November 4, facing off against Allen University in their exhibition game. The men start their season November 9 against Ball State University.

Full-time students at GS  and East Georgia with paid athletic fees get in any athletic event with their student ID. Students must have a physical copy of their ID as it will need to be scanned upon entry of any athletic event.

Students can also purchase up to two Buddy Tickets per home game for Eagle Basketball games for $8 each in advance and $10 each on the day of the game. All home games are hosted at Hanner Fieldhouse.

Students are encouraged to arrive early to get seats in the student section, located in sections B-D and 1-6. Doors open one hour prior to tip-off. Students may park in any of the designated general parking areas. There is also a clear bag policy that is enforced at Hanner Fieldhouse for basketball games.

The game schedules for men’s and women’s basketball can be found online.
