Eagles fall to Dukes in Away Game

Georgia Southern is now 4-2 after losing 41-13 to James Madison in their most recent road game

1st Quarter: James Madison scored their first two touchdowns during the 1st quarter 

  • GS went scoreless during the first quarter 

2nd Quarter:  GS and JMU both scored in the 2nd quarter 

  • JMU upped the score to 17-0 with a field goal.  
  • GS scored their first points with a 3 point field goal from Michael Lantz 
  • Both JMU and GS scored 2 field goals the score being 20-6 at end of the 1st half

3rd Quarter: JMU scored 3 touchdowns almost back to back in the 3rd. 

  • GS again went scoreless in the 3rd

4th Quarter:  GS scored their first touchdown of the game at the very end of the 4th quarter 

David Mbadinga took the ball into the end zone for his first career touchdown making the final score, 41-13.

Up Next: The Eagles (4-2, 1-1 SBC) return home to Allen E. Paulson Stadium for Homecoming on Oct. 21 to host ULM at 2 p.m.
