In the first quarter, Khaleb Hood scored a touchdown from a 24-yard pass from Davis Brin. The Panthers also scored a touchdown. Michael Lantz scored a 35-yard field goal making the score 10-7.

A 34-yard field goal, by Michael Lants, made the score 27-7 right before halftime.

In the third quarter, GS scored touchdown by Dalen Cobb with a 76-yard catch from Davis Brin, score 34-7. Georgia State also scored 2 touchdowns, score 34-21.

In the 4th quarter, Michael Lantz scored a 40-yard field goal. Marques Watson-Trent scored a 50-yard interception return for a touchdown. The Panthers score a touchdown, score 44-27.

Former GS Coach Paul Johnson was selected for College Football Hall of Fame. In Johnson’s five seasons at Georgia Southern (1997-2001), the Eagles held a 62-10 record, making five FCS playoff appearances and winning the FCS championship twice (1999 and 2000). Johnson won the Southern Conference with Georgia Southern every year.
