These are unknown times for all of us. Many people have lost their source of income due to either losing their job or their family losing their job because they are nonessential. If you are looking for ways to make some extra money, here are some suggestions on ways to make a little extra money during COVID-19 social distancing.

Online Survey Taker

We all have seen those advertisements where people say they made one hundred dollars just by taking quizzes online. These claims are true, although you probably will not make that much just starting off. This is a good idea if you do not have very much time but are still looking for ways to make money. Here are some of the better paying websites, according to Consumers Advocate:

  1. Survey Junkie
  2. Branded Surveys
  3. Inbox Dollars

Tutor

Whether you realized it or not, you can tutor virtually. There is a demand for tutors now due to schools closing for the rest of the year. Many parents are worried that their child will fall behind, and they are looking for people to help them ensure that their kids are keeping on track for next year. You could do it over phone calls or video chat for an hour or two a day. Not only will you be helping others, but you will also be making money.

Food Delivery

Yes, we are supposed to be social distancing, but there is still a demand for food that we do not have to cook ourselves. Restaurants are in need of delivery drivers due to people not getting out as much. There is DoorDash, UberEats, as well as restaurants that are providing their own personal delivery services.

Grocery Delivery

Similarly, grocery delivery is in high demand as well. Many people cannot leave their place of residence, so they have no way to get groceries. You would grocery shop and then deliver the groceries to their doorstep.

“Etsy” Seller

Because we can not leave our houses right now, many people are picking up hobbies. Say you pick up crocheting–you could crochet a blanket and sell it. I am positive these goods will be bought because some people are suckers for handmade goods in opposition to factory made goods.

There are a few ways to make a little extra money during this time of social distancing. Not only is this applicable for social distancing, but also when all of this is over, these jobs will still be in demand.
