The Georgia Southern University volleyball program has found its new head coach.

Dustin Wood has been tagged as the new head coach after spending the last three seasons as an assistant at George Mason University, where he helped coach three All-Colonial Athletic Association selections.

Wood spent the 2011-2012 season as the recruiting coordinator on the GMU women’s staff.

In the rest of his time at GMU, Wood was also responsible for directing and assisting with match preparation, scouting, planning practice, and coordinating defensive systems and blocking schemes.

Prior to his time at GMU, Wood spent six seasons as a coach at East Stroudsburg University, his alma mater.

From 2006-2009, he was the head coach of the program and led ESU to NCAA Division I Playoff appearances in 2006 and 2007.
