Georgia Southern University announces Fall 2018 Commencement speakers

Georgia Southern University announced the Fall 2018 commencement ceremonies speakers for the Statesboro, Liberty and Armstrong campuses.

GS alumnus Chris Riley will speak at the Statesboro commencement ceremony, and M. Ann Levett will be speaking at the Liberty and Armstrong commencement ceremony.

Chris Riley graduated from GS with a degree in justice studies, and since then, he has worked with Georgia Governor Nathan Deal for over 25 years as a project and grants coordinator, a campaign manager, a deputy chief of staff and then the chief of staff.

M. Ann Levett graduated from Armstrong State College with a B.S. in speech and language pathology, an MPA and Ed.S. in educational leadership and an M.Ed. in special education from GS and a doctorate in educational administration from the University of Georgia.

The Statesboro Ceremony will take place at the Allen E. Paulson Stadium on Dec. 7 at 1 p.m., and the Liberty and Armstrong ceremony will take place at the Armstrong Sports Center in Savannah on Dec. 8 at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

The commencement ceremonies will also be on a live webcast on both Facebook and online.
