The Graduating Senior’s Fall 2021 Commencement Checklist

What Seniors who are Participating in in Fall Commencement Need to Do

All graduating seniors should have received a commencement checklist in their university email whether or not they plan to attend graduation in December. For seniors who will attend graduation in December, they need to do several things to make sure they are ready:

  • Pay $35 graduation fee through their WINGS account in their MyGS portal
  • Order their cap and gown at www.herffjones.com/college/gsu and make sure their measurements are up-to-date by Nov. 15, 2021. Students who order or update their measurements after this date must pay a $25 late fee.
  • Update your diploma address (DA) in WINGS. Diplomas will be sent to those addresses six to eight weeks after the term ends.
  • Clear any holds (including financial aid, parking, and library).

Students who are not graduating this semester and need to change their completion date should contact the registrar at graduation@georgiasouthern.edu.

Students who need accessibility accommodations during graduation should contact the Student Accessibility Resource Center at (912)-344-2572 for graduating seniors on the Armstrong campus and (912) 478-1566 for graduating seniors on the Statesboro campus.
