On Wednesday, Oct. 1, the Office of Student Activities (OSA) held an event in the Russell Union, where they revealed that Florida rapper BossMan Dlow will perform at the Homecoming Concert later this month.
The artist, who initially gained popularity on TikTok, signed a record deal with Alamo Records in 2023. Since then, he has released three albums and several singles.
The reveal event had a significant turnout, with the commons area and second floor of Russell Union filled with people eager to hear the news.
After taking some guesses from the crowd—which included names like Kevin Gates, Lil Uzi Vert, and Drake—Memory Littles, OSA Director, took the stage to make the reveal.
With a countdown, Littles and members of the OSA revealed a banner that showed an image of the Bossman Dlow with the concert information.
The Homecoming Concert will be held at the Jack and Ruth Ann Hill Convocation Center on Friday, Oct. 17 at 7:00 PM.
For students interested in purchasing tickets for the concert, there are a few important things to keep in mind.
Students should keep a close eye on their email on Thursday, as the Office of Student Activities will be sending out an access code to all students, which will allow them to purchase tickets at a discounted student rate of $15; all students will need is the access code along with their Eagle ID number to receive the special rate.
Every person is limited to two tickets, and tickets will be digitally scanned to enter the concert venue. All guests will need to have a valid, government-issued ID, and all students in attendance will need to have their physical or mobile Eagle ID on hand.
No tickets will be sold after 12:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 17, or at the door to the concert. For more information on the Homecoming Concert, visit the Office of Student Activities page on the event.
