Georgia Southern’s Student Government Association (SGA) has elected new leaders. Cody Garcia has stepped into the role of Vice President of Business and Finance.
“My main role is being in charge of money and making sure we have a balanced spreadsheet,” Garcia said.
His involvement with SGA began with encouragement from fellow students. “Carson Shaver and Abigail Ross approached me and they were looking to form a ticket, and after hearing their vision for it I felt like I would get on board,” he said.
Garcia’s main goal for the upcoming year is to “make sure that we are not going over budget.”
As planning for next year continues, Garcia said students can expect changes in “academic advising and parking.”
