The weekend to come in Georgia Southern athletics

With the arrival of the weekend, Georgia Southern athletics is preparing for a busy few days.

Football

With a new head coach in charge, Georgia Southern will travel to Troy, Alabama to play the 5-2 Troy Trojans. The game is scheduled to take place at 3:30 p.m. Saturday. The game will be shown on ESPN3.

Men’s Tennis

The men’s tennis team is hosting the annual Georgia Southern Championships. The tournament will last Friday through Sunday with the matches beginning at 9 a.m. each day.

Women’s Tennis

For the final time this fall, women’s tennis will travel to Wofford University to take place in the Wofford Invitational. The tournament will take place Friday through Sunday with the matches beginning at 9 a.m. each day.

Volleyball

The volleyball team will play in two away games over the weekend. The first game will take place against University of Arkansas at Little Rock Friday at 7:30 p.m. The second game will take place at neighboring Arkansas State University on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

Rifle

The rifle team will travel to The Citadel on Saturday at 8 a.m. to take on The Citadel, Wofford, and UAB.

Men’s Soccer

On Saturday, the men’s soccer team will take on Howard University at home at 7 P.M. With this upcoming Sun Belt conference match-up, the Eagles hope to boost themselves to a winning record thus far.

Women’s Soccer

On Sunday, the women’s soccer team will travel to Troy, Alabama to take on Troy. With this being the last regular season match-up for the eagles, they hope to head into the Sun Belt Tournament with momentum.

Men’s Golf

From Sunday until Tuesday, the men’s golf team will wrap up their fall schedule with an away match at the University of Hawaii at the Princeville Makai Invitational. Finishing in the top three for two matches in a row, Georgia Southern hopes for another impressive performance.
