It’s midterm season, Eagles! Here at The George-Anne, we’ve scouted out some of the best places on campus to help you find focus and success during this stressful time. Whether you thrive in total silence or prefer a bit of background buzz, these spots will help you lock in and power through midterms.
- Henderson Library

At the heart of academic life on campus, Henderson Library is a central hub for students during midterms. With four floors full of quiet study spaces, there’s a space for every student. The first floor offers many quiet areas, along with the Academic Success Center, which provides free tutoring to all students who need extra help. The third and fourth floors are ideal for those who need a perfectly quiet environment.
- Newton Building Student Lounge

Tucked away from the bustling sounds of campus life is the student lounge area in the Newton Building. It is a cozy, quiet, safe haven and a perfect spot for study sessions in between classes.
- Outdoor Study Areas

For those who enjoy studying in the open air, the Statesboro campus offers plenty of scenic seated areas. The seating areas in front of the Newton Building and in front of Lake Ruby, next to Lakeside Dining Commons, are both prime locations. If you like background noise and peaceful scenery, then these spots provide just the right mixture of focus and ambiance.
- Russell Union

Russell Union has plenty of study spots dispersed throughout the building. Upstairs, you’ll find peaceful corners ideal for group or solo study sessions. Downstairs offers a more energetic atmosphere. You can grab some food and drink while studying, even dropping in at Starbucks for coffee and those cozy café vibes.
- Williams Center

A final hidden gem is the remote area behind the Williams Center. Surrounded by tall plants acting as a veil to this peaceful spot that feels like a world of its own. It is a perfect place to relax, recharge, and study in tranquility.
