This Wednesday is not Wine Wednesday, but it is National Margarita Day! According to National Geographic, “as of 2008, the margarita was the most commonly ordered drink in the U.S.” If you cannot get to the closest Margaritaville this Wednesday, we have found what Statesboro has to offer to quench your thirst.

GATA’s

While GATA’s may not be open on Wednesday, you can start celebrating with margs on Monday. They offer $1 margaritas and 50¢ wings on Mondays. On Thursdays, they have cornhole tournaments, and $9.99 all you can eat wings. Every Friday drinks are $2 and Saturday shots are $2 and bombs are $3. You can also get a $3 chicken finger basket.

El Sombrero

El Sombrero has Happy Hour from three to seven, and on Wednesdays, you can get domestic bottles for $2.75. El Som has three locations in the Boro, so you can stop by their Northside Drive, Fair Road, or Buckhead Drive locations.

El Jalapeño

On Wednesday, you can stop by El Jap for a jumbo margarita for $4.99. If margs aren’t your style, you can get 32 ounce drafts for $4.99 as well.

Skip the wine this Wednesday and celebrate National Margarita Day the right way. Remember, it’s always 5 o’clock somewhere.
