Fall is here: Your To-Do List for Fall 2022

In honor of the first day of fall we present a to-do list for anyone & everyone!

Despite the warm weather, fall is here! Imagine the leaves beginning to change color or the humidity being replaced by a cool breeze while making a Fall To-Do List that will keep you and your friends busy for the rest of the semester! Here are some ideas that will get you in the spirit:

  • Go to a Pumpkin Patch
    • Surround yourself with symbols of fall to help you ring in the season. Visiting a pumpkin patch is a fun activity for couples, friends, roommates, or families. Bring a camera and take some pictures or just pick out a couple of pumpkins to take home and later turn into Jack-O-Lanterns! Just search for a local pumpkin patch or go visit Marshall’s Farm, located at 125 Sandy Way, Statesboro, GA 30461.
  • Tailgate a GSU Football Game
    • Nothing says fall like football season! Go support the Eagles at one of their home games this season. Bring some apple cider and set up a tailgate with friends to get excited about the game. Just search up “Georgia Southern University’s football schedule 2022” and find all the times and locations of games.
  • Starbucks Fall Drinks
    • Another sign of fall: the return of the Pumpkin Spice Latte at Starbucks. This year, Starbucks has expanded its fall drink selection so everyone can find one they enjoy. This list of course includes the classic Pumpkin Spice Latte, but also a Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato, hot or iced, and the addition of a Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin.
  • Halloween Costume
    • The start of fall serves as a reminder that Halloween is just around the corner. Now is a good time to start thinking about a costume. Whether you are a home-made or store bought costume kind of person, start working now to get a start. Head to Pinterest for inspiration!
  • Carve a Pumpkin & Make Pumpkins Seeds
    • After visiting your local pumpkin patch, it is just a matter of time till you get to carve your pumpkin and make some delicious roasted pumpkin seeds. An easy recipe is: wash off your seeds, dry and season to taste, and roast in the over until brown. This snack is easy and will definitely leave you wanting more!
  • Closet Clean Out
    • With the start of every new season, it is wise to go ahead and clean out your closet. Not as fun as roasting pumpkin seeds, but is definitely worth it when the weather starts to change. If you find yourself with a bunch of clothes you don’t wear anymore, donate them to the local Goodwill store or to The OCPD Career Closet, hosted by the Office of Career and Professional Development. Make sure your clothes are still in good shape and washed before donating!
  • Look Forward to Thanksgiving Break
    • All the football games, fall activities, and fun foods are great, but also remember that Thanksgiving Break is coming up on the calendar! Make sure to remind yourself to stay on top of your studies and enjoy the fall semester!
