27th Annual National Youth-At-Risk Conference

The Georgia Southern University’s Division of Continuing Education and College of Education, is set to host the 27th Annual National Youth-At-Risk Conference in Savannah, March 6-9, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.

This year’s theme is, “Helping Adults Serve Youth”, with the objective of the conference being to help professionals make a better environment for adolescents and children. Ten teachers working in the Chatham County school system with less than 2 years of experience have been selected to receive scholarships, sponsored by Gulfstream, to attend the conference for free.

Important speakers include, the founder of Showtime for Stars, Reggie “Showtime” Jones, president of Communication Across Barriers, Donna Beegle, and the CEO of Cambio Group LaMarr Shields.

Other learning sessions to expect at the conference are, receptions for networking opportunities with over 70 authors from around the world and a screening of “Live Young Blood”, for a poverty session.
