STATESBORO — The Blue Room will be hosting their second annual Stop Light Party on Friday.

A Stop Light Party is a party in which guests dress in colors relating most to their relationship status. Wearing red means that you are in a relationship, with green indicating that you are “single and ready to mingle.” Guests feeling uncertain about their current status are encouraged to wear yellow to signal that “it’s complicated” or that they are “potentially available.”

“We had great feedback and attendance last year, so decided to make it an annual event,” The Blue Room said. “It’s a fun way for people to express their relationship status by wearing the color that matches their current relationship situation.”

The Stop Light Party will feature musical guests Hedonistas and DJ Nino Late.

The Atlanta-based funk rock band, who performed at last year’s party, will perform a special Valentine’s Day set.

“We love our fans in Statesboro and we always strive to give them something special,” Hedonistas Drummer Sawyer Drummond said. “And if we can give them something special musically on a night where they might find something special romantically, well that’s just the perfect storm.”

The band will be followed by DJ Nino Late, who will close out the night with dance and club music.

A variety of red, green and yellow shots called Stop Light Shots will be available for two dollars, and Love Potions will also be available until 10:30 p.m.

The Stop Light Party begins at 9 p.m, with free cover until 9:30 p.m. You can learn more about the party here.
