The Georgia Southern University women’s basketball team faced off against Samford University in an

attempt to extend its two game winning streak. Despite a solid start the Lady Eagles fell short 43-58.

Senior guard Mimi Dubose tipped off the game with an early three-pointer in route to a 7-2 run. The

Bulldogs quickly battled back with a flurry of three-pointers to pull ahead at half 34-19.

With a slow opening to the second half the Lady Eagles failed to slow down Samford. The contest ended

with the Bulldogs outscoring and outrebounding the home team, 58-43.

The Lady Eagles will get a chance at redemption on Monday when they face off against the University of

Tennessee at Chattanooga. The game will be held at 7pm in Hanner Fieldhouse.
