GSU PD says missing student found; no other information provided

Police say student found

12:30 p.m. Monday: Georgia Southern University police confirm that missing student Jesse Westendorf has been located.

Westendorf was located on Saturday, the same day that GSU PD sent out an Eagle Alert that he was missing.

The condition of Westendorf was not disclosed by police. No other information was provided from GSU PD.

Student missing since Saturday; police continue search

12:45 p.m. Saturday: Statesboro and Georgia Southern University police are searching for 24-year-old Jesse Westendorf, a 6’2″, 230-pound white male.

Westendorf was last seen leaving The Avenue Apartments Saturday between 1-2 a.m, according to a message from the Dean of Students Office. He was in a blue Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck that was missing a front bumper. “He has short, strawberry blond hair, green eyes, a fair complexion, and is clean shaven,” according to the message.
