Wednesday, Sept. 26

Officers responded to Eagle Village in reference to a drug complaint.  No evidence of illegal drugs was found.

Officers responded to Southern Pines in reference to a drug complaint.  No evidence of illegal drugs was found.

Friday, Sept. 28

Officers responded to Lot 43 in reference to a motor vehicle accident – hit and run.  A motor vehicle accident report was completed.

Officers responded to Lot 21 in reference to a motor vehicle accident report – hit and run.  A motor vehicle accident report was completed.

Saturday, Sept. 29

Officers responded to Lot 33 in reference to a motor vehicle accident.  A motor vehicle accident report was completed.

Officers responded to Eagle Village room in reference to a smoke generated fire alarm.  The Statesboro Fire Department and maintenance responded.  The room and building were checked with no problems found.

Sunday, Sept. 30

Officers responded to Allen E. Paulson Stadium in reference to a motor vehicle accident.  A motor vehicle accident report was completed.

An officer took an incident report for a civil matter.

Monday, Oct. 1

An officer took an incident report for a theft at the Zach S. Henderson Library.  This case was turned over to criminal investigations.

Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident at Lot 42. A motor vehicle accident report was completed.

An officer took an incident report for found property at Paulson Stadium.  The owner of the property was located and the property was returned to him.

An officer took an incident report for a theft that possibly occurred at Starbucks.  This case was turned over to criminal investigations.

An officer took an incident report for an entering auto at Freedom’s Landing.  This case was turned over to criminal investigations.

An officer took an incident report for found property at Paulson parking.  The found property was placed in the police department property room.

An officer took an incident report for harassment via cell phone.  This case was turned over to criminal investigations.

An officer took an incident report for found property at Hanner Fieldhouse.  The found property was placed in the police department property room.

An officer took an incident report for lost/mislaid property at Southern Courtyard.

Officers responded to Eagle Village in reference to a motor vehicle accident – hit and run.  A motor vehicle accident report was completed.

Officers assisted the Statesboro Police Department with a hit and run motor vehicle accident that occurred at Discount Auto Parts.

Tuesday, Oct. 2

Officers issued two traffic citations, two traffic warnings, assisted five motorists, responded to one sick person report, responded to one alarm and investigated two accidents.

Matthew Day Johnson, 18, was charged with underage possession of alcohol, public indecency and possession of a false I.D.

Carlton Dijon Johnson, 20, was charged with DUI, possession of a controlled substance and wanted person.
