When the Georgia Southern football team travels to Baton Rouge Saturday, they’ll be cashing in on a paycheck nine years in the making.

The contract for GS to play at LSU was signed in 2010. Back then, the Eagles were still playing in FCS and was initially signed for $508,000, per a statement from a team spokesman.

Now, the program is getting paid $925,000 to make the trip to Death Valley.

Last season, the Eagles were paid $1.1 million to face Clemson and were paid $1.3 million in 2017 for their game against Auburn.

Kickoff from Baton Rouge, Louisiana is set for 7:30 p.m. EST.
