Georgia Southern University’s Zeta Tau Alpha chapter is selling strawberry flats with proceeds going to breast cancer awareness.

Each flat is $24 and contains eight cartons of fresh strawberries from Florida.

We buy the strawberries from Wish Farms in Plant City Florida. They are known for having high quality strawberries,” ZTA philanthropy chair Alex Conarton said. “They’re fresh, good and honestly the best strawberries I’ve ever had.”

Last year, the sorority raised $16,000 from strawberry sales and has raised more than $300,000 for breast cancer awareness since the fundraiser began in 2003.

All ZTA members are selling the strawberries and the deadline for pre-orders is Feb. 24. Pick up for the flats is Friday, March 1 in the lower Hanner parking lot across from Food World.
