The sixth annual GreenFest will take place this Saturday in downtown Statesboro.

The event is sponsored by the Center for Sustainability at Georgia Southern University as well as the Downtown Statesboro Development Authority. The festival will feature “green exhibits,” vendors and workshops to teach visitors about going green.

Last year’s GreenFest garnered more than 1,700 visitors, said Lissa Leege, director of the CFS, in a previous article by The George-Anne.

There are many activities on the schedule for GreenFest, including a Green Cleaning Workshop, Natural Dyes Workshop and more. There will also be live music by the School of Rock.

GreenFest will take place on the Bulloch County Courthouse lawn on East Main Street from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
