Countdown to Election Day: It’s Election Day!

Be prepared before making your way to the polls!

What’s new:  Polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. 

  • If you are in line at 7 p.m. you will still be allowed to vote.
  • Before making your way to the polls, you can view your sample ballot. These ballots include a mock-up of the actual ballot, a list of candidates and instructions for voting. To view your sample ballot visit https://mvp.sos.ga.gov/s/   
  • Vote at your designated polling place. You can find your assigned polling place at https://www.mvp.sos.ga.gov/MVP/mvp.do 
  • Bring a valid photo ID. More information regarding appropriate forms of identification can be found at https://sos.ga.gov/page/georgia-voter-identification-requirements  
  • In the event that you show up to your polling place not having met the requirements above, you have the right to request a provisional ballot. In this case, your vote will count if your eligibility can be determined within three days after Election Day.
