Where are Your Student Fees Going?

GS Students pay a number of student fees and the campus totals vary. 

Statesboro campus and fully online campuses total: $767

  • Technology fee: $100
  • Activity fee: $101
  • Athletic fee: $214
  • Athletic facility fee: $44
  • Health fee: $94
  • Recreation fee: $149
  • Sustainability fee: $10
  • Transit fee: $55

Note: Online students don’t have to pay any of these fees, but they do have the option to opt in.

Armstrong campus total: $424

  • Activity fee: $49
  • Athletic fee: $90
  • Health fee: $20
  • Recreation fee: $45
  • Student center fee: $120
  • Technology fee: $100

Liberty Campus total: $100

  • Technology fee: $100

“The Forum was held as a requirement of USG policy to educate students about student fees prior to the mandatory fee committee meeting taking place,” said LaShai Campbell, business manager for the Division of Student Affairs. “All of the current mandatory fees and their costs were discussed,” said Campbell. 

What’s next: Campbell confirmed that there have been discussions about fee changes, but no change will be finalized until after legislative budget approval.

“Some charges are different across campus because of the resources that are provided on each campus,” said Campbell. “For example, there are no buses that travel throughout the Armstrong campus.”
