Shooting at 111 South

A GS student was shot multiple times at 111 South on Wednesday.

Catch up: An adult male was found in the parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds on January 25 around 11:30 p.m.

  • He was quickly aided by officers, East Georgia Regional staff, and Bulloch County EMS.
  • As of Thursday afternoon, the victim is being treated at Memorial Hospital in Savannah.

What’s next: Detectives are working with the staff at 111 South to find the person responsible for the incident.

  • Media release from the Statesboro Police Department stated, “The incident appears, at this time, to have been confined to a single apartment and between individuals known to one another”. 
  • According to an article from Grice Connect, “Chief Broadhead stressed this was not a random shooting and is believed to be drug related”.
