The Coasters to bring rock ‘n roll to GS

The Coasters will be coming to the Performing Arts Center (PAC) on Sunday, Jan. 28, to come rock Georgia Southern University.

The Coasters began their career in the 1950s and in 1987 were the first vocal group inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

They have also been inducted into the Doo Wop Hall of Fame and the Vocal Group Hall of Fame.

The group consists of members J.W. Lance, Primo Candelaria, Robert Fowler and Dennis Anderson.

They are set to perform their classics such as “Yakety Yak” from the classic cartoon “Yakety Yak,” “Poison Ivy” and “Charlie Brown,” among others.

The show starts at 4 p.m. and tickets can be bought Monday through Friday at the box office from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. or on the PAC website.
