How to Make it Feel Like Fall

As much as it saddens me, the South Georgia heat is still very much alive today. It’s hard to break out your cute flannels and boots when it’s still 90 degrees outside. If you are singing the blues because you miss those fall feelings, here’s a list to help you feel a little better in this dreadful weather.

1.) Candles

Invest in some candles. Get lots of them, in fall scents of course. Candles are a perfect way to trick yourself into thinking you’ve got a pumpkin pie baking in the oven.

2.) Pumpkin Spice Up Your Life

Get pumpkin spice everything. A good pumpkin spice latte will definitely do wonders to get you into the fall mood.

3.) Go to a Pumpkin Patch or Apple Orchard

Not only will a pumpkin patch or apple orchard visit make all your Instagram followers jealous, but it will also make you feel like autumn is finally in the air.

4.) Play in a Pile of Leaves

When the leaves begin to fall, rake them up and jump in them. Not only are you getting yard work done, but you will enjoy yourself at the same time.

5.) Decorate your Home

Strategically place some pumpkins, leaves, wreaths, or anything that reminds you of fall, in your house. You will instantly feel better and forget about how hot it may be outside of your home.

While fall is here, it probably won’t actually start getting colder until the end of October. That’s okay though, just drink your pumpkin spiced latte and count down the days until cooler weather.
