Comedy Show arrives at GS for 2017 Homecoming Week

The University Programming Board (UPB) will present their Comedy Show for 2017 Homecoming Week at Hanner Fieldhouse on Tuesday Oct. 10.

The Georgia Southern Events Calendar states that the Comedy Show will host comedians from MTV’s show, “Wild ‘N Out”, which is hosted by Nick Cannon.

The website also states that the comedians that will be showcased are Rip Michaels, Darren Brand, Karlous Miller and Chico Bean.

Sydnei Turner, senior psychology major, is excited to attend the show.

“My first ever comedy experience was last year seeing Tony Rock. So, I think this year is going to be really funny and I’m a fan of Wild ‘N Out,” Turner said.

The University Programming Board (UPB) warns that the content of the show is labeled Adult Content, so, the show may not be suitable for children.

The University’s clear bag policy will be enforced at the Comedy Show tomorrow.The policy states that purses and book bags are not allowed into Hanner for the event.

Approved bags include a clear PVC or plastic bag that is no larger than 12 inches, a clear gallon ziplog bag, and small clutch purses or bags that do not exceed four and a half inches.

All bags will be subject to a search upon entry into Hanner Fieldhouse for the show.

The Comedy Show will start at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 6 p.m. The comedy show is free and open to the public.
