GS annual homecoming parade and celebration schedule

Georgia Southern University will host its annual Homecoming Week Parade beginning at 4 p.m. in lot 42 behind the College of Education Building and will reach Sweetheart Circle at 4:15 p.m.

“The parade will feature floats by student organizations, campus departments, and members of the community in addition to ‘Krazy Kars’ and characters,” said Communications Director Jennifer Wise in an email .

The GS Celebration will follow the parade at 5 p.m. and will take place at Sweetheart Circle, said Student Activities Coordinator Kendra Ritter.

“Celebration will begin immediately following the parade,” Ritter said. “We will have activities, inflatables, announce the winners of this week and present awards, have the Doo-Dah winner perform, crown Duke & Duchess and announce Homecoming Court.”

The crowning of the Homecoming King and Queen will commence on Oct.14 at Paulson Stadium during halftime of the game between GS and New Mexico State according to the Homecoming 2017 schedule.
