Statesboro High and University of Georgia alumnus, Deangelo Tyson is set to speak with several Bulloch County Schools for his charity.

According to wjcl, Tyson is currently a reserve defensive lineman with the Seattle Seahawks. Founded in 2014, his charity, the Tyson Foundation, will create a new boys home in Statesboro, a place where he spent his childhood. The mission of the Tyson Foundation is to build a support system around youth, young athletes, and teenage mothers to put them on the path to success.

Tyson spoke to students at Portal Elementary school on Monday and will be holding two fundraisers this coming week. The first will be held at Forest Heights Country Club on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. The second will be at the same location. But instead of being a dinner and auction, this one will be a golf tournament held on Friday at 1:00 p.m.
