Georgia Southern Cheer Team wins fifth national title

The Georgia Southern cheer team won its fifth national championship in the Intermediate All-Girl Division at the National Cheerleaders Association National Championship in Daytona Beach, Florida.

This is the second national title in a row on the Intermediate All-Girl Division. The team led both days of the competition to earn the championship. The Eagles were led by captains Chloe Cotter and Emily Hardwood along with seniors Ashlee Newsome, Kate Dixon and Katherine Daniel.

This marks the fifth time the Eagles win in the past seven years.
