Softball secured their fifth win as they warm up into their spring season.
After last week’s matchup against Loyola Chicago got canceled. The Eagles went on a run responding this weekend in their game against Purdue Fort Wayne
“I’m pretty excited. I think offensively we’re doing a really good job and our pitchers are really getting settled in,” said head coach Sharon Perkins.
Last year head coach Sharon Perkins launched the diamond club, a rewards club that benefits the softball team and their student athletes.
When asked how far the team has come since then coach Sharon said, “We’ve come a long way yea it’s nice to finally get out you know we practice so many times and inter squad so it’s nice to finally get some outside competition.”
With such a fresh start to the season this team looks hungry. In their first 13 games, they’ve won 10.
