The Georgia Southern University men’s basketball team led for most of the way in its 75-66

victory over Brewton-Parker College tonight and inch one game closer to the .500 mark for the

season.

By halftime, the Eagles (4-5) established an early cushion and went into the locker room leading

37-26. The Barons (5-6) played better in the second half, but could not trim the deficit to less

than seven points.

shooting for GSU, including 4-8 from downtown.

Senior guard Tre Bussey added 21 points, five rebounds, and five assists. Junior forward Angel

Matias fell one point shy of a double-double with nine points and 10 rebounds.

Senior forward Darrie Stephens registered 20 points on 61.5 percent shooting. He also added

eight rebounds, which is in line with his season average.
