GSU cruises past Kennesaw State University

The Georgia Southern University men’s basketball team turned in its best defensive outing of the

season during a 73-55 victory over the Kennesaw State University Owls tonight.

The Eagles (6-6) never trailed in the game due to their ability to hold the Owls (3-9) to 33.9

percent shooting from the field and force them into 18 turnovers.

KSU junior guard Delbert Love, the leading scorer for the Owls was held to 10 points, which is

in line with his season average.

Senior guard Tre Bussey led the scoring charge for GSU with 16 points on 50 percent shooting.

Junior forward Angel Matias scored 14 points and freshman forward Kyle Doyle added eight

points and seven rebounds.

The Eagles will head to Atlanta to square off with the Georgia State University Panthers Friday

at 7 p.m.
