Georgia Southern University’s softball team fell to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in a doubleheader.

The Eagles started their weekend series with a double header, but lost the first 6-5 and lost the second 3-0. In the first game, junior infielder Kourtny Thomas got to two run homerun in the first inning. But, the Mocs were consistent throughout and earned one run in every inning that they were on the plate.

The second game, was a different story for the Eagles. GSU could not post any runs on the scoreboard, which led to a shut out for the Mocs.

The Eagles will play the Mocs one more time to end their weekend series on Sunday, April 7 at 2 p.m.
