Eagles travel to Savannah for football practice

With just eight days until the first game of the season, the Georgia Southern football team practiced in front of a crowd in Savannah Friday night.

Overall the boys looked confident on the field. There’s most definitely more things to work on, but there’s still more time.

The Eagles took advantage of their time in Savannah, where they spent their 80-minute practice doing light and technical work. Presumably to avoid injury, the Eagles were only dressed out in shells and helmets while working on plays and formations.

On the offensive side of the ball, it wasn’t a shock to see junior running backs Wesley Kennedy III and JD King have a lot of time with the ball as well as redshirt-sophomore running back Logan Wright.

The Eagles will be back in official action Saturday, Aug. 31 as they travel down to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to take on Louisiana State University.
